ROVER takes Man's Best Friend to the next level!  This is not your
father's St. Bernard!  ROVER is your own personal hiking/backpacking
survival tool and search-and-rescue party all rolled into one!  Enjoy our
dwindling natural wilderness in person with all the safety of visiting
them in VR!  ROVER is the latest in our 'Lassie' line of personal safety
aids, and just like our famous 'Lassie' line, ROVER comes with the
emergency beacon, GPS, global communications array, thermal generator,
and personal defense programs that make any outing safe, as well 
educational and informational abilities that make it enjoyable!
ROVER can map out alternate routes due to your changing plans, tell
you which flora and fauna are safe or dangerous, and even play fetch!
What's more, ROVER now incorporates a gas chromotograph/mass spectrometer
and low power microwave radar for realtime enviornmental monitoring at
both large and small scales.  Never be afraid of walking through a puddle
again!  ROVER can tell you what's it's *really* made of!  Hiking in bear
country?  No worries; while ROVER can take on a rabid grizzly and win*, he'll 
most likely be able to scare the poor confused beast off.  Best of all,
in between times, he's your true Best Friend.

ROVER is created by embedding state-of-the-art cyber-robotic
technology in a matrix of cutting edge bio-cybernetics.   This combination
means that ROVER works on fuel-cell technology like the newest cars, and,
just like them, runs solely on water with no noxious output.   This means
you never have to feed him and he'll be powered indefinitely with just 
a bowl of water every few days.
